Provides comprehensive inpatient care and treatment with a goal to maximizing recovery, especially for people recovering from a stroke, using an interdisciplinary, evidence-based and client-centered approach. In order to achieve the client's goals, this may include:
- nursing and medical assessment and treatment
- physical therapy
- occupational therapy
- speech language pathology
- recreation therapy
- social work support
- dietitian visits
- physiatry involvement
- home visits
- trial passes off the unit or to home
- client and family education and training
