To assist newly arrived immigrants and refugees in resettlement and integration.
Service offers:
welcoming new government assisted refugees upon arrival in Medicine Hat
provision of temporary housing for government assisted refugees destined to Medicine Hat
assistance with securing permanent accomodation
information and orientation sessions on housing, banking, healthcare, education, legal system, employment, and transportation
pre-employment information including resume preparations, referrals to job training, and networking
life skills coaching
referral for English assessment and English language training
assistance with Canadian documentation
public awareness and community education on cross-cultural issues
interpretation and translation services
supportive non-therapeutic counselling
