                Provides a subsidy to support Albertans escaping abusive situations by helping to pay their housing expenses, such as rent, utilities, and mortgage payments.
                
                    Service provides:
- housing cost assistance directly to applicants
 
Includes:
- use and transfer anywhere within the province
 
- total benefit amounts to $7,200 provided over the course of 1 year
 
- flexible monthly payments at $600 a month for 1 year, $1,200 a month for 6 months, or another amount and duration for special circumstances
 
- priority on a first-come, first-served basis
 
- remaining eligible to apply for other rent assistance once the gender-based violence funding has ended
