Offers a space where parents can speak about their personal experiences and receive therapeutic support on how to treat postpartum depression and anxiety.
Service provides:
- a safe environment to understand the mechanisms of postpartum depression and anxiety
Includes:
- a 6 week in-person group facilitated by a mental health therapist
- steps to change while learning tools to support the healthy growth of your family
- connecting with other new birthing parents and sharing experiences
- learning about common postpartum experiences, including depression and anxiety
- exploring topics such as: emotional awareness and regulation, relationships and communication, identity shifts, self-care, and community care
- developing and practicing coping strategies and self-care tools
- free childminding with snacks available during group time at all locations except Castle Downs YMCA (childminding is only available at this location at a cost)
