Provides programs and strategies to increase literacy in the community.
Service provides:
- programs and strategies to increase literacy in the community by getting books into the hands of kids, youth, and adults
Includes:
- providing new and used books through community bookshelves to increase book ownership
- events such as Love Reading Day, Family Literacy Day, World Book Day and Literacy Day
- staff and volunteers reading at school book fairs and at daycares
- Summer Reading Buddy Program - volunteers are paired with children and promote reading
