A virtual group education treatment program over Zoom for people in Alberta experiencing persistent pain longer than 3 months.
For patients looking to better understand their pain, connect with others living with pain, and seeking strategies on managing pain beyond the use of medications. An interactive program led by health providers with peer support incorporated throughout, as well as post-completion follow-up for up to 1 year. This program offers:
- a 1-hour session each week for 6 weeks (virtual group education and self-management program)
- highly encouraged 1-hour peer support group sessions each week
- opportunity to connect with others living with pain
This program doesn’t offer:
- diagnosis
- medical intervention
- one on one care
- prescription advice or renewals
