Provides temporary daytime reprieve within city facilities to those in need during times of extreme heat and extreme cold.
Service provides:
- availability of city facilities to those in need for temporary daytime reprieve when weather conditions are extremely hot or cold
Extreme weather includes:
- when temperatures drop below negative 20 degrees Celsius with a windchill for 3 consecutive days
- when temperatures reach 30 degrees Celsius without humidex for more than 2 consecutive days
