Offers access to health care services and support to Mennonite families who speak Low German.
This program helps clients and their families access healthcare services by:
- finding a family doctor
- booking appointments
- interpret at appointments (medical, dental, eye doctor)
- medical paperwork
- helping clients to find and obtain the medical and social services in the Alberta health care system
- health education
- car seat installs (Certified Car Seat Technicians)
This program offers referrals to other services such as:
- Family and Community Support Services (FCSS)
- Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD)
- adult learning
- food bank
- victims services
- women’s shelter
- low income housing
- Alberta Works for Alberta Adult and Child Health Benefits
- dental vouchers, etc.
