Assists people of all ages recovering from illnesses or injuries to learn or relearn the skills they need to complete daily activities. This is the centralization of triage and referral for adult community and outpatient Occupational Therapy services for the eastern half of the AHS South Zone.
This central access referral service provides a single point of entry for patients who assists people of all ages recovering from illnesses or injuries to learn or relearn the skills they need to complete daily activities.
Occupational Therapists enable people of all ages to participate more fully in the activities of everyday living. They work together with clients, their families and caregivers to develop ways to help clients reach their potential in caring for themselves, working, and enjoying life. Services can be provided in the outpatient clinic (some locations) and in the community / home.
NOTE: Pediatric or developmental services are accessed through Children's Allied Helath Department in Medicine Hat.
Outpatient services are only available at some sites - please call to confirm. Community services are availalble at all sites.
