Withdrawal Management

Provides a medically supported environment where individuals aged 18 and older can safely withdraw from alcohol, drugs, or other substances.
Service offers:
a short-term residential program to support individuals in safely withdrawing from alcohol, drugs, or other substances
Includes:
24-hour staff support
medically supported withdrawal management guided by a physician and nursing team
ongoing withdrawal management assessments
assistance opioid replacement therapy as needed
meals and snacks
laundry facilities and basic toiletries
clothing as needed
dormitory-style sleeping arrangements
in-house group sessions, including Sharing Circles, 12-step groups, SMART Recovery groups, health education and promotion, and wellness activities
access to addiction counselling
cultural and religious supports to meet unique client needs

ELIGIBILITY
Service targeted to:
individuals who have used substances within the last 72 hours
HOW TO ACCESS THIS SERVICE
To access service:
individuals can self-refer in the lobby of the Drop-In Centre, depending on availability
referrals can be made by emergency shelter staff or community agency partners
intake times are at 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM daily, depending on bed availability and staffing
