a program that will prepare Indigenous youth for entry level employment in hospitality in 11 weeks
Includes:
8 weeks in the classroom and 3 weeks in a paid work placement
a focus on soft skills and professional skills
resume writing
job search and interviewing skills
a monthly living allowance
all materials and supplies
hospitality courses certified by the American Hospitality Lodging Education Institute (AHLEI)
employment certifications such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Food Safety, First Aid, and Pro-Serve
public transportation support
90 days of continued support after program completion
Grounding Ceremony and Elder Blessing
opportunity to meet experts in the hospitality industry
excursions outside the classroom
mentorship and coaching.
