Offers support to ethnocultural youth and their families in partnering schools.
Service provides:
- cultural coaches who create inclusive school environments that identify and celebrate differences; they seek to promote understanding, empathy, and compassion amongst students and staff by focusing on prevention, inclusion, equity, and intersectionality
Includes:
- creating positive connections to culture
- developing a well-rounded sense of identity
- feeling an increased sense of belonging
- increasing feelings of safety and support within community
- 1-on-1 goal-setting, group settings, and community engagement and development
