This central access referral service provides a single point of entry for adults who have had a transient ischemic attack or a minor stroke and require early assessment, treatment, and education.
This service provides the following for adults who have had a transient ischemic attach (TIA) or a minor stroke:
- fast assessment and treatment
- referral to neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology as needed
- education relating to stroke, risk factors, and lifestyle
- clinical care, research, and teaching in the area of cerebrovascular disease
- TIA Rapid access clinic (TIARA)
