Provides support groups and peer discussion groups.
Service provides:
drop-in support groups and peer discussion groups
opportunities to reduce isolation and connect with others who are facing similar situations
a chance to learn from others in the community
Groups include:
Autistic Adults Support Group - for adults on the spectrum who are looking for opportunities to build up their support network; emphasis is placed on self-care, peer support and developing a community among attendees
LGBTQ+ Autistic Adult Support Group - a province-wide initiative hosted in partnership with Autism Calgary, Autism Alberta, and Autism Edmonton
Parents of Autistic Adults Group - aims to create a community of parents and caregivers and establish a support circle for people who have adult children on the Autism spectrum; offers a place to learn about what other families have experienced, find empathetic support, and share ideas and information
Partners of Autistic Adults Support Group - includes talking about how Autism affects relationships, learning from other people, and strengthening a social support network
