Specialist care and surgery as required.
Provides adult patients access to specialist care and surgery as needed for:
- acute anorectal pain (but not severe enough to warrant an emergency general surgery consult from the ER)
- typical anal outlet bleeding (bright red, on paper / into bowl, not mixed in stool)
- recurrent or chronic anorectal suppuration (recurrent perianal / pilonidal abscesses in same location)
- repeat visits to ER for anorectal problems
- unusual or unexplained findings around the anus (e.g., suspicious anal mass)
