Cumulative Risk is a specialized collaborative clinic that provides diagnostic and functional assessment, inter-professional case consultation and treatment recommendations for children and youth with complex behavioural profiles in the context of multiple adverse exposures.
Services include diagnostic queries for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. The clinic mandate does not include ongoing case management and treatment, but seeks to support referring physicians with recommendations to support long-term community care. All children will receive the assessments needed to arrive at the appropriate diagnostic conclusion. Recent assessments completed in the community may be incorporated into our diagnostic process. Not all children will receive a multidisciplinary assessment.
Please note:
Children from birth to 6 years of age are encouraged to receive services from resources such as Program Unit Funding (PUF) programs, Early Childhood Rehabilitation Services, Pediatric Community Rehab Services or Collaborative Mental Health Care to address any developmental and / or behavioural needs prior to a referral to this clinic.
Children must be 7 years of age or older at the time of referral to be considered for a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder assessment.
We provide diagnostic assessment and do not provide assessment, diagnosis, or treatment for mental health disorders.
