Silver Birch Court includes:

4 story building with 1 elevator
smart-card laundry facilities on the main floor
69 units ranging from 678 to 1,054 square feet
apartments with 1, 2, and 3-bedroom options
limited number of 'accessible' units (step-in showers rather than tubs) are available on each floor
a playground and indoor bicycle storage
sunshades provided in all units
situated near green spaces, mixed-use walking trails, and access to local public transit
easy access to medical clinics, local restaurants, and shopping centers
pet Friendly (limited to 1 cat or 1 small dog upon management approval)

Muriel Ross Abdurahman Court includes:

primary applicants 18 years and older
able to maintain sustainable tenancy

Silver Birch Court is targeted to those who meet the following income / occupancy thresholds established for Strathcona County:

1 bedroom, 1 to 2 occupants - $51,500.00
2 bedroom, 2 to 4 occupants - $63,500.00
3 bedroom, 3 to 6 occupants - $72,000.00

Muriel Ross Abdurahman Court is targeted to those who meet the following income / occupancy thresholds established for Fort Saskatchewan:

studio, 1 occupant - $43,500.00
1 bedroom, 1 to 2 occupants - $51,500.00
2 bedroom, 2 to 4 occupants - $63,500.00
3 bedroom, 3 to 6 occupants - $72,000.00

Any applicants currently listed on the Government of Alberta’s high-risk offender list will be ineligible for housing at any Heartland Housing Foundation facility.

Heartland Housing Foundation encourages applicants to consider their risks related to affordability. Rent that is more than 30% of income is considered unaffordable.

Silver Birch Court:

1 bedroom unit: $976.00 per month - combined maximum income threshold: $51,500.00 per year

2 bedroom unit: $1,162.00 per month - combined maximum income threshold: $63,500.00 per year

3 bedroom unit: $1,226.00 per month - combined maximum income threshold: $72,000.00 per year

The security deposit is equal to 1 month's rent.

Muriel Ross Abdurahman Court:

Studio unit: $667.00 per month - maximum income threshold: $43,500.00 per year

1 bedroom unit: $900.00 per month - combined maximum income threshold: $51,500.00 per year

2 bedroom unit: $987.00 per month - combined maximum income threshold: $63,500.00 per year

3 bedroom unit: $1,045.00 per month - combined maximum income threshold: $72,000.00 per year

The security deposit is equal to half of 1 month's rent.
