Service offers:
- SHOUT Girls Circle (both in Chestermere and Langdon)
- Teen SHOUT
SHOUT Boys Council includes:
- a focus on the development of social skills, team work, and other key skills necessary for the youth to succeed through maturity
- experience and insight on how to succeed in school, in their community, and within their families
- a positive environment for boys to express themselves free of judgement and to learn from those around them
- a focus on developing self-confidence, strong self-esteem, and a sense of respect for others while teaching the problem-solving skills necessary to overcome hardship and deal with challenges
SHOUT Girls Circle includes:
- a support circle where girls take turns to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and listen to others in an uplifting, respectful, emotionally-safe space designed to nurture self-awareness, positive relationships, resiliency, critical thinking, and authentic voices
- exploration of themes and topics such as growing up female, self-awareness and self-compassion, healthy relationships, resiliency, body image, trust and boundaries, the power of positivity, goals and intentions, and more
- opportunities for self-expression through creative or focused activities such as physical literacy, journaling, poetry, drawing, and collages
Teen SHOUT includes:
- an inclusive space for all youth 13 years and older to gather to connect, share, talk about important topics, have snacks, and have fun
- positive mentors who are up to discuss anything from healthy relationships, current events, social justice, or what's happening on social media
- mentors also support youth with addressing stress and anxiety, while encouraging individual exploration and strengths
