Offers a variety of resources to educate and advocate for persons born with Down syndrome and supports community with presentations on Down syndrome in schools, daycares, and other organizations.
Service provides:
information and awareness of Down syndrome (Ds) and associated issues
Includes:
networking opportunities and social events for families
learning sessions with guest speakers
weekly newsletters
access to information and resources specific to Ds from resource lending library
access to in-service learning (schools, daycares) about what Ds is, possible medical concerns and how it would affect them in the classroom, and tips and tools to support positive behaviour
