
Disability Services - Information and Referral
Provides information, case management, referral services, and support to both families of children with disabilities and adults with developmental disabilities to access and connect with support services.
Service offers:
- Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) - provides a wide range of family-centred supports and services that are individualized to each family’s unique needs, information, case management, and referral support and services to families to access and connect with support services
- Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) - provides information, case management, service planning, and referral services to adults with developmental disabilities and their families to receive PDD funded support services

Includes:
- FSCD workers who meet one-on-one with families and work in partnership with them and their support networks to provide information and to help families identify and access the most appropriate supports, services and resources for their child with a disability and their family
- online information about the FSCD program, including an introductory video describing the program, information about who is eligible, the supports and services provided, frequently asked questions, as well as information about how to apply
- PDD service co-ordinators that help individuals connect with services in the region by responding to requests for information, meeting with them and their family and support network to identify desired outcomes and related support needs, and referring the individual to community resources and available PDD funded supports and services
- online information about PDD funds for programs to help adult Albertans with developmental disabilities to be a part of their communities and live as independently as they can
