COVID-19 UPDATE: Alberta Supports Centres are temporarily suspending in-person services. AISH and Income Support clients who need assistance should contact their caseworker directly or call their local office during regular business hours. Provides financial and health benefits to eligible adult Albertans with a permanent disability that substantially limits their ability to earn a living.
Service provides:
- monthly core, health, and personal benefits to assist eligible individuals with their living needs and with living as independently as possible
Core benefits include:
- living allowance for individuals living in the community or a modified living allowance for individuals living in a facility
- child benefit to assist with costs associated with raising dependent children
Health benefits include:
- prescription drugs
- essential diabetic supplies
- optical services
- dental services
- emergency ambulance services
- waiver of the co - payment fee for Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL)
Personal benefits include:
- assistance with specific one - time or ongoing expenses over and above the monthly living allowance or modified living allowance
