Provides information to citizens on crime prevention programs and initiatives.
Service offers:
- information to Edmontonians on how to protect themselves and their property from the threat of crime
Includes:
- Block Party program - helps block party organizers access available resources and provides signage, crime prevention handouts, discounts, activities for children, give-aways, and more
- Walk Your Block program - encourages residents to walk in their neighbourhoods to gain visibility and become aware of what and who belongs in their neighbourhoods
- Neighbourghood Sign program - neighbourhood watch signs are available in communities with a neighbourhood watch program and that have a trained Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch (ENW) community representative to conduct the program
- awareness campaigns to educate residents about crime prevention
- Door Sticker program - residents complete a form indicating that they will follow the practices of a neighbourhood watch program; available in communities with a neighbourhood watch program that have a trained ENW community representative to conduct the program
