Receives and investigates complaints about problem properties in a community.
Service provides investigation of properties that:
- negatively affect the health, safety, or security of one or more persons in a neighbourhood
- interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of one or more properties in a community or neighbourhood
Property owners are held accountable for the following chronic, habitual, and criminal activities that take place at or originate from a property:
- producing, selling, or using illegal drugs
- unlawful sale and / or consumption of intoxicants
- prostitution
- child sexual abuse
- gang and criminal organization activity
Complaints are confidential. Does not investigate property crimes, thefts, assaults, or robberies. For criminal investigations and crimes in progress call your local police service.
