Offers a trauma-informed program to help strengthen the ability of parents to support children with a mental health disorder and improve family relationships.
Service provides:
- a program to help family members understand each other's needs, strengthen the ability of parents to support children with a mental health disorder, and help other professionals support families with complex dynamics
Includes:
- cognitive behavioural techniques to work on thoughts and manage actions
- emotion-focused therapy to help couples improve their relationships
- education to help families better understand mental health challenges and the impact on family
- motivational interviewing to engage families in the process of change
