Provides rapid and short-term sober living housing for all genders who are between services on the treatment / recovery continuum.
Service provides:
- rapid, short-term stabilizing housing for all genders who are presently experiencing a substance dependence / substance use disorder but not currently intoxicated and not requiring detoxification services
Includes:
- supports to move towards the next step on their recovery continuum
- 24 residential beds available (rooms are shared between 3 to 4 individuals)
- 24-hour support by program staff
- limited nursing support for medication and medical concerns
- psychiatric consults and assessments are available by physician referral
- meals
- bedding and towels (participants are not permitted to bring their own bedding)
- shared common living area, television lounge, and dining room
Program expectations include:
- taking responsibility for their own journey and working collaboratively with staff to build a self-determined recovery plan
- active and engaged participation
- participation in all stabilization groups and check-ins
- connecting with community supports and meeting regularly with staff to discuss recovery goals and post-stabilization planning
Program length ranges depending on a participant's recovery goals and progress. Participants no longer participating or working on their recovery will be discharged. Any form of harassing, threatening, or abusive behaviour will result in immediate discharge.
