Works in partnership with the Emergency Response Department and Edmonton Police Service to transport intoxicated people to shelters.
Service provides:
- response to calls from Emergency Dispatch (Edmonton Medical Services, Edmonton Police Service, and 211) to transport intoxicated people to shelters
Includes:
- pastoral and material support (such as lunches and clothing, if available) to people in need on the streets
- basic human care for people living on the streets who may be in need, or in crisis, while also providing spiritual, emotional, and social support
Does NOT provide medical care.
