Calgary Community Aids for Independent Living (CCAIL) can provide assessment for the following basic medical equipment and supplies, when required for long-term needs:
CCAIL does not provide funding for medical equipment and supplies. Individuals may be eligible for funding through the Government of Alberta, Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) program. Visit their website for more information.
The following are exclusions for CCAIL assessment:
CCAIL does not provide assessment for the following: diabetic or ostomy supplies, hearing aids, knee/ankle braces, foot orthotics, home modifications or porch/stair lifts.

Individuals, or their family, can refer directly by calling CCAIL at 403-955-6955. You will be asked to provide your Personal Health Number.
There is no fee for CCAIL services, however clients may be required to co-pay with Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) for medical equipment and supplies. Visit the AADL website for funding eligibility information.
