Topics covered in this program include the role of exercise in managing Osteoporosis, posture, back care and safe positioning, upper and lower body strengthening, balance and fall prevention, and how to start a walking program. Two hour classes are held once per week for 5 weeks.

Men or women who have or who are at risk of developing Osteopenia and Osteoporosis
Participants can self-refer, but a mandatory pre-requisite for all participants is completion of the one day osteoporosis workshop provided by the Grey Nuns Community Hospital Women's Health Program.
