Offering inpatient pediatric care for patients from birth to 17 years of age who require hospitalization for a variety of medical issues. We have an inpatient unit and are supported by multi-disciplinary services.
The Pediatric inpatient unit provides care for pediatric patients who require hospitalization. Issues managed include but are not limited to:
- hyperbilirubinemia (jaundice)
- respiratory issues (asthma, pneumonia)
- newborn concerns (feeding, sepsis)
- IV therapies (antibiotics).
Service includes:
- assessment
- admission
- treatment
- education about pediatric issues and involvement of subspecialists or follow-up as appropriate.
Pediatrics also provides consultation services to public health and for pediatric patients seen in the emergency room.
