Provides emergency assistance for people in need.

Service provides:

assistance and referrals to individuals in need who are unable to receive help anywhere else

May include:

short-term, emergency financial assistance to avoid eviction / utility disconnection, urgent access to prescriptions / medical needs, or emergency accommodation
assistance with deliveries for isolated individuals who may need supplies / food bank hampers
Keep In Touch Program - check-in phone calls by a volunteer for those identified as experiencing social isolation, including seniors
Help Closet - assistance with basic needs / toiletries / winter gear / technology access / clothing / household items
assistance with emergency food, medical- or job-related transportation
assistance with identification document fees
Furniture Donation Program - furniture to assist those in need who are re-establishing their residence and have low income
seasonal outreach programs to assist with back to school needs
Stockings of Care which provides practical gifts to single adults / seniors at Christmas

Service targeted to:

residents of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County
who have low income
and are unable to access other resources, including government programs

Each situation assessed to determine eligibility. Does not serve individuals residing outside of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, or Parkland County.
