Assists youth, who have been or continue to be in the care or custody of Alberta Children and Family Services, to transition into adulthood as they pursue their educational goals.
Service provides:
- assistance to youth who have been or continue to be in the care or custody of Alberta Children and Family Services, to achieve their educational goals
Includes:
- up to $40,000.00 in tuition costs
- 60 months of other supports, including living allowances and childcare
- attainment of an employable skill set
- and more
Educational goals can be obtained by:
- upgrading / adult education (only in order to gain entrance to a post-secondary program)
- earning a degree or diploma from an approved Alberta post-secondary institution
- learning a trade
- earning a licence or certificate
