Security services provides:
- security personnel familiar with the campus, buildings, and people and are trained to respond to medical emergencies
- Safe Walk - escorted walks on campus; available to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors 24 / 7
- Working Alone web system - check-in system that allows students to log in and make campus security personnel aware of thier location when working alone on campus
Emergency management provides:
- development of plans for all hazardous situations that might occur at the University of Lethbridge
- Campus Incident Response Team (CIRT) - a volunteer workforce whose primary task is to assist with the safety of the campus community during times of crisis or emergencies
- Emergency Management Team (EMT)
- Emergency Policy Group (EPG)
Safety services provides:
- education and promotion of risk control and a strong safety culture for students, faculty, staff, and to members of the external community who attend and use the University facilities and services
- safety audits and assisting with hazard assessments
- safety training such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), laboratory safety, and radiation and biosafety
- risk assessments and risk orientations for events, field trips, practicum, co-op, affiliations, internships, and international travel programs
- waiver creation and administration, incident / accident investigation, and claims management
