Service offers:

• support to survivors in navigating the various systems related to sexual violence by filling the gaps between existing services and providing information and appropriate care for survivors, support people, and service providers

Includes:

• a strength-based approach and trauma-informed practice
• emotional support provided at YWCA Banff or on an outreach basis to communities throughout the rest of the Bow Valley
• accompaniment at Canmore and Banff hospitals with the option of the provision of transportation to Calgary
• appropriate pathways to other services which can provide integrated support and/or referrals for clients presenting with complex trauma or co-occurring mental health and psychosocial difficulties
• meeting with correlated service providers to establish consistency in language, counteracting victim blaming, and recognizing positive and negative experiences in service delivery for clients
