Offers wellness services that increase access and participation for culturally appropriate mental health services in the community.
Service provides:

promotion of mental health and health literacy

newcomer mental health training

group information sessions delivered in small groups on a variety of healthy living topics with similar ethnic and language groupings

up to 3 individual 1-hour counselling sessions
- advocacy to break down the mental health stigma in the community through cultural education and awareness with a focus on marginalized, disadvantaged, and invisible newcomers so they can seek help from trauma
Counselling includes:
- 1, 2, or 3 sessions with a certified psychologist accompanied by a cultural mediator
- a professional assessment completed after the sessions
- after the assessment, a referral to the public mental health services provided by Alberta Health Services or to other private professionals for further ongoing treatment and support services
