Diagnosis of breast health problems.
Provides assessment and diagnosis of breast health problems (e.g. lumps, abnormal mammogram or ultrasound, nipple discharge, breast pain). Development of treatment plan by the surgeon in consultation with client (and oncologist if necessary)
Services include:
- consultation with a surgeon
- booking of breast biopsies
- arranging required blood work, scans, MRI, Cardiology assessemtn, CT as necessary
- education about breast conditions (non- cancer and cancer)
- help with navigating the healthcare system
- referrals to other healthcare providers if needed
For women diagnosed with breast cancer:
- health information about breast cancer and its treatment
- support
- one of the clinic Registered Nurses will act as a contact person to answer questions and concerns
