Service provides:
- reimbursement to members for services, aids, or appliances that assist in maintaining independence, mobility, and quality of life that are partially covered or not covered at all by health insurance
May include:
- physiotherapy
- craniosacral therapy
- massage therapy
- chiropractic
- acupuncture
- limb braces, crutches, canes
- repairs for wheelchairs, scooters, bath lifts
- shower and bath assists
- oxygen canister refills
- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) breathing aids
- custom-made shoes
- buying of two pairs of shoes (different sizes to accommodate leg braces and foot sizes)
- support hose or stockings
- the required personal payment portion of purchase that Aids to Daily Living does not cover
- replacement batteries for assistive devices
- part payment for scooters, electric wheelchairs, stair lifts
- wheelchair cushions
This service is limited to a maximum amount per person per fiscal year (November 1 to October 31). Service is available as long as funds are available. The board has the right to suspend the service at any time.
