Responding to Family Violence Program

Provides free ongoing services for individuals of all genders who have experienced family violence to access confidential emotional and practical support in both English and Chinese languages.
Service provides:
confidential support services for family violence victims
Includes:
emotional support and supportive counselling
information on family violence and community resources
information on the criminal justice system and rights of victims
court preparation and support
respect and support for victims to make informed choices about their options
the use of risk management tools to assist in developing individualized safety plans with victims
consultation and referrals
advocacy and practical support for victims in seeking financial assistance, housing, legal aid, and in dealing with immigration issues
