COVID-19 UPDATE: Only 75 individuals allowed in the building at any time. They will turn people away if they are at the 75 person capacity. Everyone coming in must be screened by nurses on staff.
Provides a safe space for people to visit and access a variety of services, including meals, recreation, and support.
Service offers:
- a drop - in community gathering place where activities, information, and friendships are fostered
- information, support, and connection to services both within the organization and at external agencies
Includes:
- access to basic needs items such as soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, shampoo, and feminine hygiene products
- emergency clothing
- assistance connecting to medical care
- clean needle exchange
- referrals to other programs (when applicable)
- assistance completing forms and access to a Commissioner of Oaths
- recreation such as karaoke, bingo, dances, and art
- dinners such as Thanksgiving dinner and beef dinners provided by Muslim community
- National Aboriginal Day celebrations
