Provides support through financial guardians for clients to gradually move out of poverty and increase their finacial stability.
Service provides:
- support for clients to find financial stability and assisting them to move gradually out of poverty and maintain their own finances
- financial counselling to help them develop the skills necessary to manage their finances independently
Includes:
- a trust account where funds are deposited
- acces to a trustee officer that works with the client to develop a budget to ensure the funds sustain them throughout the month; this budget ensures that critical expenses are looked after (rent, telephone, and utilities) to protect the client and keep them safe
This program is mandatory for all residents of Streets Alive Mission’s supportive housing facilities.
