Delivers prevention and early intervention services and supports for families with children aged 0 to 18 years.
Service provides:
- a range of services and supports that focus on strengthening parenting and caregiving knowledge, social support, coping, and problem-solving skills
- access to community supports and resources to improve child and youth development, build resiliency, and foster well-being
Includes the following supports:
- referrals for cultural supports offered through the Creating Hope Society
- home visitation - long-term support, mentorship, and advocacy for families who are at risk; intakes can be completed anytime starting pre-natally up until the baby is 1 year old
- parent education - information, referrals, and parenting workshops such as Positive Discipline for Everyday Parenting, Circle of Security, Nobody’s Perfect, and Kids Have Stress Too
- family support: in-home support for families identified at-risk who have children 1 to 18 years old; also provides information related to parenting and child development and connections to other supports in the community
