Works with food bank clients as well as other agency clients to increase the food safety and food handling, nutrition, and budgeting knowledge of those in the program.
Service provides:
- opportunities for clients, youth, individuals with low income, and those who may have significant food security challenges to develop skills and provide nutritional food and food knowledge
Includes knowledge of:
- how to use food received in a food hamper
- safe food handling and food safety
- healthier lifestyles
- nutrition
- general knowledge of food security, including budgeting and purchasing
- food rescue
