Day Hospital provides intensive treatment for individuals who are decompensating within the community and without intervention/stabilization would require acute inpatient psychiatric care.
The Day Hospital is a short-term and goal-oriented service. The length of stay at Day Hospital is dependent on individual needs and will be assessed ongoing. Individuals will work with an interdisciplinary team to meet the identified stabilization goal. Services include:
- Medication management
- Clozapine starts
- Crisis management
- Community integration / transition (skills / change)
- Individual 1:1 treatment with multidisciplinary (many services) team
- Psychoeducation (teaching clients about the nature of the illness)
- Family Engagement / Groups
