Offers specialty, women-focused imaging in the area of mammography, ultrasound, and biopsy services.
Offers the following services with a focus on women’s imaging:
Mammography
A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast in order to examine breast tissue and evaluate breast health.
Mammography is useful in detecting growths or microcalcifications that may be too small or missed by your physician. Mammography is also an essential tool in early breast cancer detection.
Biopsy Services
An interventional procedure (commonly known as a biopsy) involves obtaining tissue samples to determine whether abnormal cells are present. A biopsy is necessary when imaging studies cannot clearly define an anomaly, and can confirm benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) tissue
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses inaudible, high frequency sound waves to form images of the body's internal organs and tissues. The sound waves are transmitted into your body using a small handheld transducer or probe, reflected off organs and other structures back to the probe, and converted into an image for display by a computer. Ultrasound images are displayed in real time, which means that the movement of organs, babies and even blood flow can be visualized and assessed
Our women-focused ultrasound exams include: female pelvic, breast & axilla, and obstetrical.
Breast MRI
CDC clinics offer the full range of breast care and diagnosis imaging services including ultrasound, mammography, biopsies, and MRI, all of which are effective tools to help determine a cause of symptoms or abnormalities of the breast.
