Provides peer support for parents and caregivers of individuals with mental health concerns.
Service provides:
- support for caregivers through 1-on-1 peer support, group support, educational programming, and community outreach
- peer support for parents and caregivers of people with mental health concerns in Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) regions across Alberta
Based on local caregiver needs, each Region integrates educational content, learning opportunities, resource sharing, and meaningful connection-building activities, fostering an interpersonal network of caregivers. Peer-based programming for caregivers allows for an opportunity for individuals to feel seen and heard by a trained supporter who has lived experience of caregiving.
