• workshops and training in the area of intercultural communication

Includes:

• cross-cultural professional development training to human service providers to assist them to respond positively to persons of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
• Parenting in 2 Cultures - a 6 session parenting class for immigrant / refugee parents about effectively parenting in the Canadian context while drawing strength from one's own ethnic identity
• Parenting Teenagers in Canada - a workshop about finding new ways for parents to establish a better relationship with their children while preserving the values of their home culture
• Take Control of Anger - a 6 week program on dealing with emotions and working towards healthy family relationships
• Strengthening Spousal Relationships - a program about marriage in Canada and finding strategies for improving relationships between partners
