COVID-19 UPDATE: There have been changes to the Edmonton John Howard Society services: 

  • Adult and Youth Support Services (including REE*START, WrapEd and IOMI) continues to offer services from 101, 10010 - 105 Street with limited access in order to adhere to social distancing directives. Doors are locked but individuals will be assisted through the intercom system. Please note that there is no phone or computer access for clients during this time.
  • Current clients can access services at the office as well as through text and social media. Please call 780-428-7590 before coming to the office.
  • All Family Violence Prevention Centre (FVPC) programs are providing care for victims of domestic violence remotely. The FVPC Intake phone line is open: 780-423-1635.
    DVCAP continues to provide court updates and court preparation should a victim need to attend court:
  • The Furniture program is fully operational and providing furniture to clients who have recently left a family violence situation. This program can be accessed at 780-423-1635.
  • The Partner Check program has continued its work and is contacting clients on a regular basis to ensure their safety.
  • The Nalah program continues to provide care for victims of Intimate Partner Violence through emotional provisions and representing their voices in Provincial Court docket matters. Although domestic violence docket court procedures have changed due to COVID-19 protocols, they continue to work remotely
