Works to ensure that injury issues in Alberta are addressed through surveillance, program support, knowledge synthesis and translation, and education and information sharing.

- assistance in developing new injury prevention programs and enhancing existing programs
- workshops and conferences
- injury prevention research - provides collection and interpretation of injury statistics and other data
- information dissemination services via website, statistical reports, media advocacy, and social media
- an online multi-disciplinary network for those interested in injury prevention
