Service offers:

• a variety of support services for families with children who have a documented diagnosis of autism or a query of autism
• direct care to improve function and coaching for parents on concrete skills that will increase their child’s independence and improve the overall quality of life for the entire family
• information and referral for relevant programming in southern Alberta

Programs include:

• Specialized / Individualized Services - assistance improving daily living skills and increasing caregiver capacity to provide developmentally appropriate parenting; may include psychology and behavioural consultation, speech-language and communication services, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, aide supports, family coaching, and case management
• Behavioural Developmental Support Services - a 6-month contract with 1 (or 2) professionals that is focused on achievable objectives within one behavioural / developmental area; a consultation model that includes assessment, priority setting, parent / family coaching, a written plan, a data collection system, co-ordination with other supports, and (if appropriate) direct intervention
