Provides support to individuals diagnosed with memory loss, dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease. Services are non-denominational and open to all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds.
Service offers:
- in-home, one-on-one volunteer support
- companionship and leisure activity support for persons diagnosed with dementia
- respite opportunities for caregivers to engage in self-care
- volunteers trained through the Alzheimer Society of Calgary’s Best Friends Approach to deliver quality, client-centered care
- access to social work support for the person diagnosed with dementia and their caregiver
