The Rett Clinic consists of a team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals who provide rehabilitation services to patients and families.
People with Rett Syndrome have a complex number of health needs resulting in a progressive loss of skills. The patient / family attends one clinic day annually if needed, with sub-specialties scheduled depending on the patient's and family’s needs. The family / guardian must travel and accompany their child to a full day of Glenrose appointments.
NOTE:
- people with newly diagnosed MECP2 (methyl CpG binding protein 2) genetic differences will be further investigated on a case-by-case basis
- adults with genetic confirmation of Rett Syndrome are evaluated on a case-by-case basis
